My issue , after I add a movie in my library and folder after running a scan it does not update the same happens when I delete a video. thanks for any help

I’m not quite sure I understand your question/issue.

Also… what version of Plex Media Server do you have installed and on what Windows version is it running?

I deleted a few videos and I still see them in my library of course if I click on them get the error which means the file is not there and that’s ok But also any new videos I have added not seen in the library I have scan several times to update but it does not change. Version 1.18.9.2578

Automatic library updates don’t work in every contex…

  • you need to have Settings > Server > Library > Scan Library automatically checked
  • this usually works on local file systems – not for drives connected via SMB, NFS, AFP etc.

The most simple way to ensure Plex is in line with the files in your folder is to manually trigger Scan Library Files from the library context menu (... > Scan Library Files).

Same goes for making Plex notice a file has been removed.
If you have not checked Settings > Server > Library > Empty trash automatically after every scan , the removed videos could still show in your library until you manually trigger Empty Trash from the library context menu (... > Manage Library... > Empty Trash)
