Update Plex Web Player directly?

I am one of the guys who are mostly happy with the new Skip Intro feature. It is already working very well with the tv shows we’re watching at the moment when being in front of an iOS or MacOS Player. Unfortunately there is no official Linux Player at all and therefore I am using the Web Player when watching via the main device here. The Projector.

If I have understood the web player versioning correctly, the current version is 4.34.3, while the current server delivers version 4.30.2. And for the Skip Intro function you need at least 4.34.
So the question is, is there a way to update the Web Player directly to skip intros here as well?

If you use the hosted web app (https://app.plex.tv) rather than the local, you’ll have the current version. Updating the local version independently is not available as far as I know.
