just updated and i couldn’t get the skip intro to work and noticed that the plex web didn’t update on localhost its stuck at Version 4.30.2 where as if i go to plex.tv and lunch it their its Version 4.34.2 and will scan for intros how do i fix this
The local version is (and has always been) a few versions behind the hosted one (http://app.plex.tv/desktop). The embedded/local version of Plex Web will be updated as part of some future PMS update (no ETA; usually a few weeks after the hosted version is updated).
Nothing to “fix”.
Alternatively you can currently also use the Plex for Mac / Windows desktop player. Plex for Mac/Windows version 1.11 has all it takes to manage skip intro.
im running plex off of my synolagy nas and then using windows to connect to it locally especially since their has been a lot of internet outages lately in my area and connecting locally stops the internet from disconnecting everyone from watching their shows in the house
