How to upgrade web player?

Server Version#: 1.25.3.5409
Player Version#: 4.69.1

I would like to try the updated editions capability but the announcement page says that version 4.87.1 is required. I can’t for the life of me find out how to upgrade the web player version.

https://app.plex.tv/desktop/ is always the current version.

The bundled version included with Plex Media Server, which you cannot update, is meant primarily for server management, not viewing media, and always lags the online version.
