I would like to have the ability to update the poster for multiple episodes of a TV series in one go. For some reason where refreshing the metadata used to update the artwork if it had been added in another program this is no longer working. It is an massive pain if you have a large library to have to add the poster one episode at a time instead of being able to add them for an entire series/season. I am sure I am not the only one to be frustrated with this aspect.
Would you mind elaborating the issue you’re trying to fix/overcome?
You’re using some 3rd party apps to add thumbs to episodes (as local files, embedded artwork…?) and Plex isn’t picking those up when you refresh the episode metadata?
Thanks for the reply, to give you a little more detail I tend to update the artwork for the TV shows in the TV app on macOS. That way I could then select all episodes in a season in Plex and just by refreshing the metadata it would update the artwork to match that which was used in the TV app. This is no longer working as it was, and I now find myself needing to update the season artwork on each individual episode for each TV season as Plex doesn’t give you the option to update the poster for multiple episodes in one hit.
