Eagerly updated Xbox one app. On the off chance I tried the Plex skill on Alexa. Worked a treat! Then “the audio or video is not supported by this device”. I can change the transcoding options on the the dots (usually gets me out of a pickle). Also, what’s with the new UI. My kids are not going to know where to find their TV shows when it’s under programs and random press to the right past my stuff. Sorry to complain but I’m only keeping the Xbox for Plex and this is a major bummer.
Give it a chance. I felt the same way when they changed it like this on PMP, but after a couple weeks you get used to it and it’s actually an enjoyable experience.
I don’t have Alexia or whatever that is, this was obviously not ready for launch, playlists are gone, the ability to view multiple libraries on a server of the same type is gone, it just picks one, it has a huge empty space on the home screen. It’s total trash and needs to go, unfortunately the Xbox is now refusing to let you use the old version. UNACCEPTABLE!
sorry but I am very pissed about this and have praised Plex for everything else for the last 5 years or more
