Updated Libraries, Plex is ignoring some items in .plexignore

I updated my libraries today and now suddenly a bunch of my movies that are listed in .plexignore are showing up when they shouldn’t be. It seems to only be movies that are all in subfolders, for example my .plexignore lists:

The Terminator (1984)/*

Which is actually located in the Movies\Terminator folder. This is happening to about 70+ of my movies. Hopefully this is just a bug to be fixed soon?

Things I’ve tried since my original post:

  • Moved the .plexignore out of the folder, waited a few minutes and put it back in.
  • Adding the folder above the subfolder to the .plexignore (ex. /Terminator/The Terminator (1984)/*)
  • Installed a new update.
  • Uninstalled Plex Media Server, rebooted PC, reinstalled PMS.

None of these things fixed my problem.

Plex seems to alternate behavior in how .plexignore is handled with every other update.

Example:
server version 1.25.0.5282 was not honoring my .plexignore file
server version 1.25.1.5286 was correctly honoring my .plexignore file
server version 1.25.2.5319 is now not honoring my .plexignore file again
