Updated media server to Version 1.32.1.6999 after scheduled scan last night. Most most of my tv shows are not showing up in plex anymore. How can i fix this. The media is still in my windows folder.
Can you post a screenshot of one of the missing show files and a copy of your logs?
There are so many log files in the log folder which one do i have to upload.
This happened to me as well. After the server update a lot of my media was missing. The files are there and working fine in explorer but they’ve disappeared from plex. The play history shows them as greyed out, indicating they’re unavailable.
I’ve tried optimizing the database, emptying trash, rescanning, removing and adding media folders from the library and even ran plexsqlite database corruption scans. I also fixed permissions on all my hard drives. None of that worked.
The only fix I found was renaming the files in questions to not include special characters in the filenames, indicating something changed in plex that makes it unable to process the sometimes lengthy filenames that media has.
I cannot (and refuse to) rename my entire media library and am urgently looking for a fix to this.
Just found the problem and a workaround in another thread:
The scanner isn’t picking up certain files which leads to them being removed from your library when it rescans. The current workaround is as follows:
In your library click on the three dots and go to Manage Library > Edit.
Go to the Advanced tab and change your Scanner from Plex TV Series to Plex Series Scanner.
Rescan your library and the shows will reappear.
Please dont change scanners/agents it will break your library.

Version 1.32.1.6999 is not finding the files of my tv shows (it finds only the folders). I rolled back to a previous version of the server and now it is fine again.
Me too. were can i find a previous version of plex media server.?
In the Updates folder in the Plex Data Folder.
Thank you i just uninstalled my broken plex server and installed the previous version. IT seems to be working normally again.
