Updated Plex on my iPad - now it won't start

Hi,

I have an iPad 4 running the most recent iOS it can (10.3.3). This morning Plex worked fine and I watched an episode of The Flash. This afternoon I updated all my apps (including Plex) and now it won’t start. It just shows the Plex logo, then crashes back to the app screen. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling it both before and after a hard reset of my iPad and there’s no difference.

Any ideas?

Same.
iPad gen 3 WiFi only.
Worked A+ yesterday.
App Store update this AM.

Crash crash crash…

Please roll back for us whomps with the old iOS 9.3.5.

Thanks!

Same here - worked fine yesterday.
But, after update this morning - won’t start on my iPad.
I have shut iPad down and restarted from scratch.
I have deleted Plex from iPad, restarted iPad and downloaded new Plex from App Store.
Still not working on iPad IOS 10.3.3,
Works fine on my iPhone (iPhone 6 and IOS 11.2.5)

Looks like the new update doesn’t like older versions of IOS before 11. I will pass it on to the dev’s.

Same Ipad 2 IOS 9.3.5

I just tested this using an iPad Air 2, with IOS version 9.3.3 and the latest Plex update. Plex loaded fine for me and was able to watch media on it.

For the ones having issues with the app crashing. Please post your logs here to help the devs figure out with the issue.

EDIT: I wonder if this might be a 32bit issue, the ones here, i have seen so far that listed their devices seem to be 32 bit devices.

Hi,

I’d love to help, but I can’t start the Plex app so I can’t get logs from there. Do you mean the logs from my server?

I read the link you posted - I’ll see what I can get

Head’s up folks:

The team was already on it. The correction is already on its way

Thanks for your reply - I’ll wait for the update

Just curious - how does something like this even make it out as a release and pass internal testing?

@STWallman

That’s what has everyone stumped. It got past ALL the checkpoints, even those at the Fruit Factory’s gates

So much for the app store being very strict on what gets in lol
