I have an interesting use case, but I would be very surprised if I’m the first one to do/ask this.
I want to deploy a Plex server in a location without internet access. I also have a Plex server at home. I’m wondering if I bring the hard drive with my home library on it to the remote location and plug it into the remote Plex server if I can merge the contents of that library with the remote server’s library.
I don’t want to overwrite the contents of the library though, because it might have things that my home library does not. I also want to leave the remote server’s library in the remote location because other people will want to use it when I am not there.
Keep in mind I won’t have internet to fetch metadata and thumbnails, so I am hoping those will easily transfer over.
