Updating Plex failed and now cannot access server

Server Version#:1.26.2.5797
Player Version#:

I tried to run an update yesterday and after the update I cannot get to my media. When I go into TV, Movies, etc I get “Something went wrong, an unexpected error occurred” I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling various versions of plex to see if I can get it back but I always get the same thing. I think the version I was running is the 1.26.2.5797 but I am not positive. I tried reinstalling that version and that is what is currently on my system but the same error is there. I tried uninstalling and running 1.27.x and 1.29.x and nothing will allow me to access my libraries.

It looks like Plex is still trying to scan my libraries and in the logs I see that it is finding the movies in the database but I get nothing when I try to access the libraries.

Are there specific logs I can post here to help troubleshoot?

Any thoughts?

That error often means there is some bad data in your database. You may have had the bad data before and upgrading PMS exposed the issue. You can try repairing the database following Repair a Corrupt Database | Plex Support.

Awesome, that fixed it.

One other quick question for you. Is there an easy way to upgrade from the 32 bit to the 64 bit version. I have been running PMS forever and it has always been the 32Bit.

Thank you so much for the help getting everything back up and running. BTW, my users lost all of their shares. I had to share all of my libraries again. Not sure if that was expected so I thought I would mention it.

Yup, just manually install the 64-bit version. It will remove the 32-bit version and install the 64-bit version. Auto update will work from then on.

Awesome! Got it installed and good to go. Thanks again!
