You can download by going to the Plex web player (https://app.plex.tv or http://[your.nas.ip.add]:32400/web) and there should be an orange bar indicating there’s a newer version to download.
See this topic for info on updating through the WD MyCloud web interface.

I see that but in the WD My Cloud Home there is no such button. It says the version # and no way to check if there is a new version. And by the way, if I click on the links you provided me, this is the response that I am getting:
We were unable to verify that the link you selected was actually posted to the forum. If you wish to proceed anyway, select the link below.

You can’t check for a new version of Plex through the MyCloud admin interface. MyCloud doesn’t know how to check for a new version of Plex. You need to download it through the Plex site - either through the Plex web interface or from www.plex.tv/downloads - then upload it to the MyCloud through the MyCloud admin pages.
And I’m not sure why my links didn’t work in my earlier post.
Ok so if I go to www.plex.tv/downloads and i click on western digital version, it ask me to choose a package…are the packages the same for MY Cloud and for My Cloud Home because there are only the my Cloud and no My Cloud Home packages. And finally wich one should I choose.
Apparently Plex for My Cloud Home can’t (yet?) be downloaded from Plex, according to this WD support article:
That article does have instructions on how to install Plex on My Cloud Home though. How old that article might be, and whether things have changed, I don’t know.
