Updating to Latest Version removes PlexHTPC

Server Version#: 1.32.0.6973
Player Version#: 1.43.1.3911

When PlexHTPC Updated to the Latest Version (1.45.1.3942) it removed PlexHTPC from the Computer.

I am not able to Install the Latest Version as it goes through the Install process and then will not run.

PlexHTPC 1.43.1.3911 is the most recent Version I could find.

Any suggestions as to why the Latest Version Removes PlexHTPC from the Computer?

I am using Windows 10 Pro, Updated as of Today.

Thanks for the Reply.

It looks like that could be the reason, i setup an Exclusion in Windows Defender to Test and the Latest Version Installed and Worked fine.

Hopefully, the issue can be resolved for the Next Update.

I’ll be interested to see what MS come back with.

I had no issue with the previous Plex HTPC version and same Defender definitions. Just the new Plex HTPC version.

Something in the new version triggered Defender. A call back to Plex perhaps. Unsure.

For now I’ve uninstalled Plex HTPC and using VLC.

This is only with the latest version

Version 1.45.1

All previous versions have not been an issue with Defender
