I have been expanding my TV library and have run into several issues that make the experience less enjoyable.
It used to be when sorting by TV shows ass you went a level deeper into show then season that it would show at the top so you could easily go back to the show season overview. Not sure why it appears it was removed but I haven’t been able to find it again. It is like the path bar in finder on a mac.
Under TV shows I have noticed with Detail view rather than grid view there is no indication of Episode quality or sound which would be a nice addition
Also as I phase out lower quality versions of shows I have found sometimes not all episodes may be 1080 and there is no easy way to see that as once you are in TV shows Library you have to change to Episodes and then Resolution which even then when listing out all the episodes doesn’t have a display field for Season or Episode number making it much harder to know which episodes are lower quality
Adding those display fields would be great
Lastly When I go into a TV show and am in the overview area it would be great to get a details type view that shows all the episodes I have in season order with the grid view or detail view available in individual seasons
Which client is this about?
The look & feel for tv-shows seems to vary depending on what client you’re using.
TV item navigation
From the top of my head – for Android / Apple TV you can either “back” out of the details view or select to which level you want to jump from the episode context menu button (...) → e.g. Go To Season or Go To Show.
On Plex Web you can jump to all levels of a particular show – e.g. inside a season you can click on the show name (next to the season poster) to jump back to the show; similarly you can navigate to all items on that level (here: different seasons) using the arrows and selector in the top-right corner. On an episode page you can jump similarly between episodes (or up to the season/show levels)

Re/ technical details on the detail view → seems to depend on the client you’re on (not saying they might not be more consistent)
Identify lower-resolution episodes
In order to find your lower resolution files, set your library to episode view and use the filter to identify lower resolution items. You can also use the advanced filter to identify items meeting multiple criteria (e.g. lower resolution items of a specific show).
Show all episodes of a show in a single view
When editing a particular tv-show you can configure if it should display seasons or not (Edit > Advanced > Seasons → Hide). You can do the same on the library level.
