Upgraded movies from Radarr not matching

Server Version#: 1.15.3 - Docker

I have been having a strange issue, and I can’t tell if it is a Plex bug, or a settings issue.

When an existing movie is updated by Radarr, it replaces the file (same name or not, same behavior in the end), and triggers a library update (on add, and upgrade). From what I can see it is just of the movie, not the whole library. When this happens, the previously well matched movie (posters, extras, description, etc), will lose all of the matching and just have the normal title, quality, etc, but none of the metadata.

If I click on fix match, it takes a few seconds, pulls up the list, and I can match it no problem; all of the metadata, posters, extras, and all appear.

New movies have no problem immediately matching, this issue is only with movies that download with a higher quality.

Is it a well known setting I am missing, or a known media refresh bug in plex?

and just as I post this looks like 1.15.4.919 might have a fix for this behavior?

No dice, unfortunately. Radarr just upgraded a movie and plex lost the poster and the description and extras. Hitting refresh metadata fixed the issue as always.

Having the same issue. Have you found any solution?

I did actually. The issue for me was that I had plex monitoring libraries and auto updating but I was using radarr’s notify plex feature to also send update messages to plex. Looks like they were redundant and in conflict. As soon as I turned off the notify plex on update within Radarr the issue went away.

great! I have the same service enabled in Radarr, I’ll turn it off, and see if it works.
thx a lot!
