Upload limitations - Plex on a 2gbs fiber connection

I’m getting a 2gbs/2gbs fiber line put into my house. I’m wondering if Plex limits the upload/sync speed when doing a mobile sync? Has anyone been able to get fast mobile sync with fiber?

I’m thinking of upgrading my Plex server but only if Plex will utilize the bandwidth.

Any info would be great.

Thanks,
Rob

If your computer (PMS server) can use the bandwidth, so can PMS
The only limits placed on your sync / uploads are those you specify in Settings - Server - Network.

At that speed, I would tend to believe trans-coding the number of streams to fill a 2gbps pipe will be your biggest issue.

If your mobile device is on the same network as the server when you sync, PMS will actually sync trough the local network so your internet speeds won’t matter. If you are trying to sync remotely, the download speed at the remote location will be the limit.
