I see plenty of other folks posting they have problems with videos being upside down, but no resolution! I have home videos that display fine on my phone, computer, but not on my Samsung TV - what the heck! There is no way I’ve been to fix - help.
The „fix“ mentioned in most threads is to transcode the video. This will usually result in the video orientation to be applied to what it’s supposed to be (vs. just some metadata tag with info on the supposed orientation).
Some players report they can play a video as-is but ignore the orientation parameter.
If transcoded on your server (either by forcing the server to transcode to a different quality OR storing an optimized file), that won’t be an issue.
