Not really a question but more of a comment.
I have a Synology DS1815+ NAS running DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 6 (10-11-2017) and PMS version 1.9.2.4285 . This model uses an Intel Atom C2538 SoC. I’ve since noticed after updating PMS that a “Use Hardware Acceleration When Available” option is now present whereas it wasn’t before. I thought this was an option that used Intel Quicksync but not entirely sure.
I came across the option before on my XPEnology (Synology DSM) test box running on a Core i5 2500K running the same version of PMS as well as my Intel G3258 Windows Server 2012 Essentials box again running the same version of PMS.
I haven’t tested it on the Synology DS1815+ or at least not completely but it does seem to make a difference on the Core i5 2500K and G3258.
