I am trying to create users so my dad and sister can watch whatever they’d like without stepping on each other. I’m trying to figure out how to grant them access to servers shared with me from workmates and friends. I can see them in my admin, but I can’t figure out if/how to give users that kind of access.
You cannot forward shares.
If you want your dad/sis to see media from a friend’s library, you’ll need to ask that friend to share with their Plex accounts.

Tip! : A Managed User is great for situations where the admin of a Home doesn’t want a member to need a unique username/password or else be able to interact outside of the Home, such as an account for a young child.
