I switched TVs recently and plugged in a Roku device that hasn’t been used in about 2 months. I cannot get signed in to the Plex app. Each time I’m input my password, I’m immediately giving a message that the user cannot be authenticated. I’ve tried on other devices and have not had any issues. Can anyone help me figure out how to get my account authenticated so I can sign in?
To follow up on this for anyone who might experience what I’ve described - I was able to get signed in using the Roku app on my phone. I used the exact same process of supplying a username and password. I have no idea why using the app let me sign in but using the Roku remote would not let me authenticate.
I’m having the same issue. Can’t log into my Plex account on any of my 3 Rokus. Phone and computers work fine.
WOW, so I just reread your response. I thought you’d logged into Plex on the Phone, but you used the Roku remote on the phone to login. I’ve been fighting with this for days, even bought a new Roku, because I couldn’t get it to login. That is bizarre that the Roku remote doesn’t work but the Roku app on the phone does work.
