Opened my Plex server today and the usernames have been changed (numbers added to the names) for example mine was my e-mail address for the log-in now it is just Nev627. All but one of them has been changed/modified this way. I am the only admin on the account. Anyone know what is going on with this? I try to change it back to what it was but it tells me the name has already been taken.

Why would Plex touch my server and not offer ME the chance to modify my username.

I’d suggest joining the discussion over at Thoughts on the forced Username implementation if you’ve concerns.
But plex did not touch your server. All users are actually plex users even if you don’t realise it.
