I have a user on my server called Matt & Miranda. This displays fine everywhere except a few places on the web player. When viewing Settings or the user dropdown menu (top right of the screen), the username is displayed as “MATT & MIRANDA”.
Also on Android TV and other clients.
The one client this does not seem to happen on is Apple/IOS the issue seems to be solely Plex’s fault as they are not treating it as a regular text box a simple code fix and they still have not done it yet. Seems to be happen since Plex Web not correctly rendering ampersand 2017 in various different text boxes why can this not be fixed Plex??
Have there been any updates to this issue or any official response from Plex? My username shows up as CAP’N AWESOME and has broken Tautulli. It still appears correct when I sign in but in settings it’s displayed incorrectly and Tautulli attributes all my plays to Local. I have tried renaming my user account - it seems to accept the change but when I go back in it has reverted back to the ' version. Does anyone have a workaround? Do I have to change my username to remove that character and lose years and years worth of play history as a result?
