So love the new app first of all. I am having trouble getting Alexa to recognise the Xbox One as a player though, anyone got this working?
Same, not seeing it as a player. Updated Server and Xbox to the new app today.
Edit: I restarted my Xbox One and Alexa now see’s it as a player. However Alexa says I do not have any media in my Plex Media Server, which is not correct.
I had the same issue last night, Plex telling me no Xbox one plex companion online.
This afternoon my xbox as updated, i have just turned it off, and unplugged power waited 30 seconds, and powered it again to make sure its had a cold boot.
Made sure i have closed my other players down (macbook, so on) Same thing,
So if anyone got this to work, please share some light, 
… did you have to unblock any addtional ports at home?
So I finally got it to work but not sure how. So I updated Plex server to latest version. Then in the Plex server I stopped all players. I deleted the old version of Plex on XB1. Then I quit the new Plex. Then restarted it again and it worked.
My server is Version 1.9.1.4272, and xbox fully up todate and running new plex app, but still alexa can not see the player online.
My xbox one isn’t updating to the new plex xbox one app (Still running verison 1.8.0.0 on the xbox one). That’s my issue. Running Verison 1.9.4.4325 on the server. Alexa plex skill is linked.
**Edit - It’s because they released a new app. It’s titled “Plex for Xbox One” in the store and not just “Plex”
Furthermore after testing, I can get Alexa to play things that are “what’s on deck” but if I ask her to play a movie in my library, she can’t. For instance, “Alexa, ask Plex to play Cult of Chucky”. She will respond with “I am sorry I cannot find that title in your library, try asking me for recommendations.” I’ll ask her for recommendations and she end’s up saying “I cannot find any media in your library.” However, she can play TV shows that are what’s on deck.
The Xbox definitely needs a proper reboot before it Alexa will recognise it as a player. It’s still pretty glitchy and limited, but it’s progress.
You can say Glitchy… HAHAH…
Mine as been rebooted, cold turn on etc, still can not get alexa to talk to Xbox… Never the less i am rocking older App, 
until more stable update comes out
same here, does anyone find out how you can fix this issue with alexa not seeing xbox as a player???
