Using DJ FriendGanger in practice

I’ve just recently started using Plex and Plexamp for my music listening. My other half is also considering using it, but I’d likely set up a seperate library for her. (She logs in using my account but would select her own library with seperate music etc)

Long story short, I recently saw the DJ friendganger thing in Plexamp. Would it be possible to use this to create a playlist that pulls music from both libraries? For example on. road trip and we want both of our music?

Alternatively, I could create a second Plex server and give her her own account and all that, then share access both ways, but I suspect we’d need a second plex pass for that to work?

Any advice would be great, especially on exactly how the DJ features work.

I’d start with a separate music library for her on the same server.
If you are going to create playlists, these are separate for each user.

You can then try, how Friendgänger behaves for your use case.
But you’ll have to wait until both libraries have been completely analyzed for sonic features, before you can use many Radios and DJs.
