@dbs179 Thanks for the intel! Did you mean you attempted to telnet into unraid/rasplex using these ports? Or did you meant that the control signal is sent over these ports?
It looks like port 3005 is the way to go

Hm disabling my firewall didnt solve it unfortantly. Really thought i had the problem there!
In another forum post someone attended me to the button on the plex web app forums.plex.tv/discussion/222129/web-http-ip-webui#latest As noted there.
Are you capable to select your player there?

I meant that I tried to telnet into my unraid and rasplex using those ports. As you can see from the results, most of them failed to connect, which I sort of expected, but wanted to give you what I am seeing on a system that is working.

Yes, if I open the plex/web/app page in firefox (my normal browser) I see the remote control button and my RasPlex listed there. I haven’t ever tried to control it, from there but it is listed.
I know this is an old thread, but I had stopped updating Plex for a while and finally caught up on my updates. When I did, my iRule controls were broken. These were using HTTP get commands.
To test, when I went to http://10.xxx.xxx.xxx:32400/system/players/10.0.10.10/navigation/MoveUp I was getting a 401 unauthorized error.
I needed to go into the plex server -> settings -> network -> Show Advanced
Second to lest setting: “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”
This setting must have been new to me when I brought my way out of date server current, because the field was blank. I added my whole local subnet 10.xxx.xxx.xxx/24 and ta-da, I was off to the races.

borsaid,
My HTTP Controls had stopped working again, I came back to this thread and saw your comment. Sure enough once I added in my home IP range HTTP Controls are back up and running!!! Thanks for the information.
