I have many multi-segment courses that I want to post in PLEX. Because they have as many as 50 individual segments, I need to ensure that the student will be able to reliably and easily advance from one segment to the next. I have been advised herein that the “seasons-episode” functionality of the “TV Shows” library is best.
But how must I name, or TAG them for this to work? At present, the file name does not include data on either “season” or episode. However, each season is stored in its own folder. And the sequence of each episode is indicated in the TAG “track number” field.
Counsel, please.

Thank you.
I see the example used is: Christmas - s2012e01 - Getting Ready.m4v
What I am not clear on is the naming process. Let’s assume my course is about cooking, but there are no “seasons” , just one course with (let’s say) 10 separate “lessons” or “episodes.”
Would I need to indicate season and episode information in the file name? For example:
Cooking - s1e01 - Getting Ready.mp4
. . . or is the name of the episode sufficient? For example:
Getting Ready.mp4
Please advise. Thanks.

Yes you would need to use some thing like this:
Cooking - s1e01 - Getting Ready.mp4
just using this Getting Ready.mp4 will not allow plex to organise it
For example I have this:
Python 3 Essential Training
--- Season 01
------- Python 3 Essential Training - s01e01 - Welcome.ext
------- Python 3 Essential Training - s01e02 - Understanding prerequisites for Python.ext
