Adding TV series to library

I’m trying to add Will & Grace to my TV series library but I’m having no luck. I’m not quite understanding how the naming system works for TV shows. Mine are on my hard drive as follows:
E:TV Shows/TV Shows/Will & Grace/Season 01/Will & Grace 1-1-1.mp4 with subsequent numbering of files.
1-1-1 means season 1 disc 1 episode1 and so on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Naming should follow:
TV Shows/ShowName/Season XX/ShowName - sXXeYY - Optional_Info.ext
Where:
XX is the season number YY is the episode number

Optional_Info is some additional optional information (e.g. episode title) and is ignored by Plex.

Your folder structure could lead to issues. When you create your library, make sure you point it at folder above the series folder i.e. E:/TV Shows/TV Shows. You also need to fix your episode naming. An easy way to do this is to use a renamer program. I use FileBot.

Thanks, guys! All this information was very helpful. I made some changes to my files and tried one episode just to see if it would work before I spent time trying to rename everything and it worked. Took awhile but it worked. Thanks again.
