Various Artists getting split (almost) per song

Server Version#: 1.41.2.9200
Player Version#: 1.103.1.238-223cbba6 (Plex for Windows)

I write this with 1 album as example, but this behaviour I have for almost 2 dozen suchlike albums and is as follows.

Source information:

After refreshing Metadata in Plex:

Clicking one of them shows for instance

And clicking on the album gives

So 1 (!) track.

Pleeeaaase, HOW can I tell Plex to truly follow the ID3 tags in this case and just have 1 “Various Artists” with 1 album “White Christmas”, or if I need to alter the tags, please tell me how it is expected (beyond what I already saw in https://support.plex.tv/articles/200265296-adding-music-media-from-folders/ )

HOW can I tell Plex to truly follow the ID3 tags in this case

By enabling “Prefer local meta tags” in the properties of the Plex library.

It’s also important to direct the library to your folder M:\Music\Lossless
and not just M:\Music.

Verify that the Album Artist meta tag in your files has 100% identical content in all tracks of an album. Check for “invisible” characters, like Space etc.

After checking the above, you want to perform the Plex dance “light” (meaning you can omit step 4).

It’s also important to direct the library to your folder M:\Music\Lossless
and not just M:\Music.

This in combination with completely removing and re-creating the Plex Library was the solution!

I have about 40 albums in ‘Various Artists’ now
And about 2 dozen in ‘Various Classical Artists’, so thanks for the tip!
