Various Plexamp Issues in Carplay

I use the Carplay version of Plexamp on a regular basis, and there are a few issues that occur, some new and some old:

  1. When I have a song playing, on the Now Playing screen, I can’t press the shuffle button. I can press the other buttons (like repeat), but I can not enable shuffle. If I have shuffle enabled already, I can disable it but not re-enable it

  2. Something that was recently introduced in an update: I have a large playlist (250+ songs), but when I view this playlist in Carplay, I can only see 200 items. If I select the song at the bottom and check the Up Next section, I can see the rest of the playlist in the queue. I also have this playlist downloaded, and I can see the whole playlist on the downloads screen.

I understand these are smaller issues, however I would greatly appreciate it if these were looked into!

This will be fixed in v4.3.1, thanks for the clear report.

This is a long-standing limitation. CarPlay doesn’t offer paging, so we limit the amount of data we request. Their design documents also recommend limiting the size of lists, and when in motion they will commonly do additional truncation.
