not working for movies for some reason
@a7medo778
Did you manage to get it streaming in Windows?! And as far as I know, if your Movies are in DVD / Video_Ts format, it cant stream them!
This is great, but how can I set the quality? I donāt mind manually modifying the bookmarklet, I just donāt know what I need to change.
Hi everyone,
I have been working to extend this little javascript thingie, so it will let you select quality, initial offset and most important support authentication. It is far from optimal right now, username and pass need to be hardcoded etc. You can find the main.js script here. But you will need to change the bookmark manually (as I said it is not optimal ;)). I also have 1 question, does seeking work for you guys? I love to watch transcoded content in my browser. However when I need to continue something I cannot seek the video?
Greets,
Matthisk
doesnāt seem to work hereā¦
Also, do the recent changes to the web manager break this bookmarklet?
If it was easy to do it would probably have been done already but any way. What is preventing this bookmarklet from being compatible with at least one browser on Windows?
The original author lacks development time and/or a windows platform to test on? Thereās also the fact that firefox/chrome donāt support html5 and x264 video. Not sure about safari/opera/IE for windows. The good news is the new windows client is out, so thereās a more robust way to enjoy your plex content on windows!
Problem is installing a Plex Client is not always the option. I would like to check movies at friends home or even at work where i canāt install a client.
Hi,
Is this still working with the update to PMS 9.5 or do I need to configure something? We I try it in Safari I get āUnable to find video info.ā.
There have probably been API changes with 9.5. This bookmarklet is handy but itās not a full product supported by the devs or anything like that. Feel free to contact the OP and see if he wants to fix it or help you fix/improve it, but I highly recommend using one of the clients now that they support remote connections and transcoding.
The problem with Chrome isnāt the lack of H.264 support, but the fact that HTTP live streaming isnāt and wonāt be supported: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=54198
