Video keeps playing

I am unsure of which version I have, but it is the latest. I have a video that keep showing up in my dashboard as being played. Been there for 3 days. I stopped it twice, and it keeps playing. Now I cannot even try to stop it. I have stopped Server and then restarted. Still there. Was considering deleting the file, but unsure what would happen. Has this happen to anyone else? Moderators, do you have any idea?

Go on the hunt for web browsers with the plex web app in a tab still open.
This can also be on devices which are seemingly switched off.

When you watch using the web app, always use the square button to stop the playback.
Pausing it is not enough. Minimizing the player window is also just “pausing”.

Do also look for hardware devices with a plex client which might be in perpetual Pause mode.

Thanks, it was out of my home and in my mother’s. It was paused, but I stopped it. But it just stayed there for days. I ended up deleting the file. Then it disappeared. SHouldn’t have to do that.

Then it must have been a client which has been used by your mother.
