'xcuse me, lag from the videos you’re downloading? What do you mean by that? It sounds like an issue with your video downloader, or are you downloading the files from you PMS?

Im downloding this tv shows videos, and then im trying to play them via plex, and there is a strange lag there, don’t know why and is not with all of them, cannot get the common issue when playing,…
Does it happen on some random videos (episode xy’s always lags behind) or on every video but randomly (same video but not every time)? Oh and I presume you’re talking about audio video inconsistency/gaps.
It happens on random videos, from different web pages, or torrents, I thought at the begining it was the size of the file, but when I download movies I don’t have that issue and the file is bigger of course… and the same file that gets the lag always will get the lag on that specific video…
This “lag” is most likely caused by the server transcoding your video.
Which in turn is caused most likely by active subtitles.
If you are watching on a PC, you should avoid the web browser client and use instead either Plex Media Player or Plex for Windows/Mac
The reason for this is that a web browser doesn’t support many video codecs, audio codecs, and subtitle formats.
