Video lags only when subtitles are enabled?

I’m trying to figure this out, but so far having no luck.

First, system specs:
i7-2600
16GB RAM
1x 250GB Crucial SSD (OS drive)
1x 250GB Crucial SSD (data dump drive)
32TB array storage

While streaming videos, if I have subtitles enabled, doesn’t matter if it’s burn-in, or what language, or even if it’s SRT or PGS, it would stream fine for about a minute, then pauses for a few seconds, then plays some more for another minute, and repeats. Initially I thought it was because my CPU is insufficient, but looking at it while streaming, I’m only using 15%, and buffers through 30 seconds easily. Moreover, if I turn subtitles off, it streams perfectly fine, zero pause, and CPU utilization is almost the same. I tried changing the quality of the stream, from 1080p all the way down to 480p, and results are still the same. I’m convinced something else entirely is causing the lag, but I’m not sure what. Has anyone else experienced this?

Nevermind. I downgraded to the previous version (0.9.16.6) before Media Server went gold, and everything is fine now.

Seriously, whoever allowed this version to go gold needs to be canned. All I’ve been reading about 1.0 Server is just pure garbage.
