Video playback fails when transcoding to 1080p on Android

Server Version#: 1.29.0.6219 MacOS M1
Player Version#: 9.8.2.35221 Android Mobile & AndroidTV
Plex Media Server Logs_2022-09-18_22-44-00.zip (6.6 MB)

Issue: Starting on Android for Mobile and AndroidTV 9.8.0.34919, if I change the quality setting to force my server to transcode the video, it will fail when I select any of the 1080p options (20/12/8 Mbps). It will buffer for a few seconds like it is going to load but then closes the video playback. When watching TV shows it will go to the autoplay screen and start the countdown to play the next episode, it does store the current view progress of the video properly. However, when I select ‘Convert Automatically’ or convert to 720p or lower it will transcode and play the video normally.

Troubleshooting: I tried a few things like rebooting the server, checking CPU and my Network but nothing was out of place. Thinking it was my new server I booted up my old server on Windows and verified the issue was happening there as well. Attempted rolling back the plex server version but saw no improvement so updated back to current. Then I rolled back the Android app version and that seemed to do the trick.

Conclusion: When I rolled back the Android app, I found that transcoding works on 9.7.0.34811, but fails on 9.8.0.34919. So, it looks like whatever is causing this issue was introduced in that version.

MISC: All the files used in testing are remuxed BD rips, so pretty standard as far as video and audio are concerned as I basically just copied them straight from my discs.
