Video playback stops, audio continues -- only when transcoding and automatic quality selected

Server Version#: 1.32.6.7371
Player Version#: iOS app 8.24

Server running in Docker on Ubuntu. Hardware transcoding enabled and working. When streaming remotely on iOS, if I have Automatically Adjust Quality enabled, video will stop after several minutes and audio will continue. With it disabled, everything works great. Any thoughts on what to check to be able to enable that setting? (I didn’t post the server logs as they look like they might need a lot of redacting. Anything to look for there?)
