I discovered today that suddenly playback on both iPhone and iPad more or less stopped working. On many files, I only get a popup saying that transcoder failed starting, and on files that do play, video is completely borked with the image rapidly moving back & forth.
After some testing, it turned out that switching off automatic quality adjustment fixed everything. Weirdly, on server dashboard everything looks exactly the same no matter the setting: The file is reported as directly streaming both video and audio (I’m on my local network, so this is how it should be since bandwidth is set to Maximal in quality settings).
I noticed that a new iOS client version was released yesterday so I suspect this is the culprit. And, as mentioned, I did nothing on neither server or clients, this just started appearing and the same result on both iPhone and iPad.
