Hi There,
Desperately need some help. Have a brand new Roku Express 4K+ and since I’ve started using it I have noticed that when I shuffle video playlists it stops after a few hours and goes back to the Roku home screen. No error messages or anything.
This happens regardless of what television show or videos are in the playlist, so I highly doubt it has to do with the media on my server. I have also done tests on a Plex Media Player on another computer as well as the Plex app on my iPhone. The playlists continue to play without a problem and don’t quit like they do on the Roku app.
I also tried to solve this problem by upgrading my Plex Media Server to the latest version but the problem continued, so I rolled it back to the version I’m most comfortable with. I have also already tried power cycling the Roku, uninstalling and reinstalling the Plex app, as well as checking to see if said app is in need of any updates. It isn’t.
I definitely would appreciate help since these are playlists I use in order to put me to sleep and keep me there. Since these disruptions started my sleep habits have been disrupted and it’s been kind of awful.
Does anyone know how this can be resolved? Anyone experiencing the same thing? Is there a workaround I haven’t considered? Or is this a case where I’m just going to have to sit by and hope that the newest update to Roku’s Plex app happens to solve the problem?
