Instead of the whole ‘Reencode it using Handbrake’, which is great, we need a feature of the transcoder to look at cropping info, whether it be as part of the file itself (MKV header information), or part of the tags system that reads the info, and ignores pixels in the cropped areas leaving you with what you wish to view.
Example would be a 21:9 movie from a Bluray source, has black bars encoded on top and bottom, the transcoder would ignore the top and bottom 140 pixels giving a 1920x800 video from its bluray quality source.
