Videos runs smooth on media server but with a terrible resolution in my Smart TV

I know probably a lot of people already did that question, but I am new at Plex and getting very frustrated with the experience.

When I try to run a video using the Plex Media server, the image is crispy and of a good quality but the same video using the TV app makes the image all pixelated and terrible to watch.

I already tried to connect my TV to the internet using a cable instead of the Wi-fi but the problem persists.

I have a Samsung 43 LED Smart UHD TU7000

Thanks for any help.

I’m having a similar issue. Ive got my Plex server set up on a Mac Mini connected via ethernet, and am trying to play movies in my dorm room while at school. But my Apple TV wont play anything above 480p. If I try to change the resolution the app will just change it back.

Ive set the limit on resolution to Maximum on both the server and client side, but it doesn’t seem to change anything. It’s getting very annoying. Also I can get it to play at 720p on my laptop in a web-browser but not 1080p, but on the app on my laptop it will play 1080p. The iPhone app however is also suck at 720p. It’s very odd.
