There is already a request for this feature. Rather than splitting votes over several threads, it’s best to add your vote to that one.
I don’t know how it could be much easier than Collections, though. Here’s a screenshot of a collection I just made (These movies/shows obviously don’t go together – I only have a few to choose from). With TV shows and Movies on one page,
