I think Plex is great, especially with the ability to access your library and see what you have via the iphone/ipad apps, online via the media manager, and plugins such as plex exporter. At the moment Plex stores all my digital movies, while I keep a list of my dvds etc in delicious library.
Would it be possible to add a virtual self in Plex that isn’t attached to digital content? This would work the same as fixing an incorrect match with a current title in Plex. Click add in the virtual shelf, search for the title of the dvd/bluray disc and it will add to your shelf to browse via plex on the mac/iOS/browser.
