Voddler Plugin

Could someone please provide a voddler log of a successful playback (not a trailer)?

I haven't used this plugin for a very long time, but I tried viewing the free movie "Evil Ed".

Your log from #79:

http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/26521-voddler-plugin/page-4#entry397287

looks very similiar to mine, it is working for me:

What version of the plugin are you using? I downloaded the latest from github:

https://github.com/drohr/plex-voddler-plugin/archive/master.zip

and copied the voddler.bundle to the PMS plugin directory.

It seems like the site configuration is not working for you ...

Very strange.. No more entries in the log after that?

What server are you running? I'm running Client and Server on Windows XP.

Do you pay for your account?

Yes I run latest version I guess:

2013-05-18 17:25:48,905 (eac) :  INFO (core:336) - Starting framework core - Version: 2.3.7, Build: de45ef3 (Tue May  7 17:27:01 UTC 2013)

I tried Evil Ed as well - no luck...

I'm running newest version of PMS(0.9.7.22) with newest version of PMC on OS X. I don't pay for an account.

The version you supplied above is not the version of the plugin, rather the version of the plugin framework?

UPDATE:

Webkit playback will not work on Windows XP:

http://wiki.plexapp.com/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions#What_are_the_main_differences_between_the_Plex_Media_Server_platforms.3F

Windows WebKit support requires Vista or Windows 7; Windows XP is, unfortunately, not supported.)

Unfortunately this means that Voddler will not work on your setup!

Ok, that's too bad. Thanks for the info!

The difference from yours seems to be:

Also, have a look at this:

http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/36922-troubleshoot-flash-and-silverlight-plugins/

Ok, thx a lot for your efforts!

I had some progress today. I found out there is a

Plex Media Server -> Settings (Advanced) -> Transcoder -> "Webkit window visible"

When enabled this I got playback - first it say voddlernet needed to be started. After I fixed that I actually got playback. But it doesn't work with the default setting "webkit window off screen". Perhaps this is the XP limitation.

Anyway - if webkit kind of means play it on the server and the pass it on to the client - I won't have much use of this anyway. In XP it seems e.g. Flash/Silverlight has issues to "hardware decode" video on my graphic card. Which means stuttering playback. If I get that through plex as well - there's no point...
