Will Tyson still be able to release the app he was working on. So far, I have to say his definitely sounds more appealing to me. It was going to make great use of the voice and recognition features of the Kinect which your app currently doesn't do and by the sounds of it, will never do. What is the reasoning behind not rolling his stuff into this app?
We have no knowledge about what Tyson was or is working on, or what will become of it.
Is "Xbox play " currently supported? If not, please consider that top priority.
Thanks for the suggestion, we'll take it under consideration. It will likely need Search integrated into the app first, so that we can try to find "" and if we find it, play it.
Will (or is it currently) plex content be surfaced into the OneGuide?
OneGuide is being considered at the moment. We're still working out the complexities of supporting it, and once we've done so we'll have a better idea about how/when, etc.
I have one more thing regarding voice recognition: I had trouble getting "play" registered to start playing a video. "previous page" did not work at all. The thing is, because MS does not "allow" to use english as the console language if you are in germany, my xbox one runs in german. Maybe my problems are coming from using english voice commands on a german language system. For example in the plex app I need to speak numbers in german to get it recognized. So I need to say "select eins" instead of "select one" to make it work.
Throwing my vote behind OneGuide integration (recently added, on deck seem like a good first step) and search integration (so Xbox play _______ is available). I don’t even think most Xbox One owners know the power of those two features and I hope that lack of knowledge doesn’t impede the progress of having them added to the Plex app.

Awesome. Please take a look at Tyson's thread when you get a chance. He had a lot of good ideas in there for voice control. I think most of them would be fairly easy to implement. Here's some commands he mentioned:
I will add my vote for search integration.... one of the first things I wanted to do and couldn't. Also assume this will allow me to be able to speak the video's name rather than "select 1" or whatever number it is on the screen.
To me the oneguide is still a bit of a mess.... not enough customization currently there for me to regularly use it.

One Guide support done efficiently and not just to have it present in the guide would be amazing!
On Deck Shows, Recently Added Movies, Recently Aired Shows... Oh man would that be great!
++ on OneGuide and Voice Search integration (which I would assume also means movie title integration)!
Plex on XB1 is almost certainly going to be my second-most common way to watch content after Netflix. Strong integration with the cooler features of XB1 really brings it home for me. Hell, you're finally giving me a reason to rip all those old HD-DVDs I bought on fire sale when the format died. :D
