I have a server running Plex Media Server. From my windows machine on the network, I access it through http://plex.tv. Up until last night I’ve been able to control the volume by simply rolling the mouse wheel. Today I open Plex and the interface is different and volume control does not work. Has there been an update to the interface and is the missing volume control a bug still waiting to be fixed?
thx for report. bug report made ( up/down arrow should work for now )
Got it! Up/Down arrows work as long as I actually click on the browser window first. With the mouse wheel I didn’t have to do that, though I think that’s a Windows thing, not Plex specific.
I’m also experiencing this since upgrading to v1.8.4.4249 on my local web player at localhost:32400. Arrow keys work, mouse wheel does not work any longer (I really like being able to control volume with the mousewheel!)
I too am no longer able to control the volume with the mouse wheel… very irritating… it only works when the cursor is literally hovering over the 1 inch volume bar… I really hope plex doesn’t start updating and changing things every couple months like Microsoft does… can we not have an option of how the interface looks/works??? there was NOTHING wrong with how it operated prior to this last weeks update…
Just took the latest update to Version 1.9.4.4325. The volume control with the mouse wheel isn’t working, again. Just a heads up to the folks who fix the bugs.
I’ve been disappointed with my last several upgrades due to this (seemingly minor) issue persisting. If the “old” method of being able to control plex volume via scrollwheel could be returned I would be very appreciative.
The new method which requires hovering directly over the volume, and sliding in 25% increments is not an improvement.
