The new Plex web app is a disaster!

It has changed and looks totally different and works horrendously. The controls are totally changed. Full screen and the x to close it have swapped places. I used to be able to control volume by simply rolling the wheel on my mouse now you have to hoover over the volume control and slide it which is much more difficult to do to fine tune. If the mouse is let go in the control area the controls stay on. This also hides the subs so you cannot see them. This never happened before this change. It was due to an update in the past couple of weeks. It was such a pleasure to use for over 3 years now it is a disaster.

I am now getting complaints from my client base of 58 friends and family. There are many people complaining about this in other posts but no one is addressing the issue.

Please tell me someone will pay attention to this and get it corrected.

Ha ya, took me a long time to find the close button. X is always on the top right (how hard is it for plex to follow normal conventions?)

If you don’t like it, than downgrade your server again. Problem solved.

‘client base’

Your a lucky guy to have 58 family and friends

All of those 58 people should be using PMP on PC. Not Plex Web.

I dread to think what kind of beast of a server can handle that.

Maybe your users should realise you don’t write the software.

Let’s hope your “friends” don’t request a discount…

danjames92 if you had read my post you would notice I said I have been using it flawlessly for over 3 years.

I tried PMP but within the first 3 months of using Plex until they removed the Mouse support. Seems they believe people who use computers don’t use a mouse. WRONG!

My users would just like it to work like it always has for the past 3 years until this last update. And no not all my users have HTPC’s. Most use ROKU but that was not affected by the web UI which is used by some.

@Coxeroni until this gets put into the full realease version and is then unavoidable.

@danjames92 People should be able to use whatever client they want for viewing plex. I personally hate PMP which is why I use the browser client.

@fleinbach I’d like to add to your list of complaints the fact that I can no longer just esc out of anything I’m watching. It exits fullscreen but won’t go back to the library or dashboard if I hit it again. Also, who the hell asked for this feature that makes the episode that’s playing, keep playing in a tiny window at the bottom?

These new features really should have a configuration to decie whether or not you want to use them.
