I need a button in Plexamp to download ALL my music at once into my iPhone. I have the space and can’t take the time to download album by album.
Try making a Smart Collection, and use criteria that ensures that every song you own qualifies.
One such option could be [Folder Location] [is] [Root_folder_of_your_music]. That ought to create a massive playlist with every song in your library. Then [Download] the smart collection. This collection should automatically update with any new files you add or remove in the future.
I think Plex limits queues to something like 24 hours long. If you “queue” the collection with shuffle, then once the queue reaches 24 hours in length it won’t add any more. To create a new shuffle of your library, queue with shuffle again to get a new order and a new 24 hour chunk.
You can download by artist - right click/long press on an artist and choose “download all albums”. Obviously it’s still a lot more clicks than a “download all music” option, but still less work than going album by album.
