Watch movies/shows with others

I think it would be cool if you could host a virtual watching party. Create the party, set start time, open it to public or private parties, set how large of a group you want to allow. Then watch the media on a secondary device such as a tv and on the primary device(iPad,iPhone,android) you could chat with others as the plays and after talk about it like you would after going to a normal theater.

Would give people the opportunity to meet people that are into the same content.

This feature exists for movies (as pointed out above). There’s already an existing feature suggestion to also support this for tv shows.
Please use the search before posting duplicate requests in order to avoid distracting votes

That only allows for viewing with friends. I said open to public as well. Also I don’t see anything about chatting at all in the watch together thing.

Maybe you should read full forum posts before closing. Ya know, so you don’t come off as arrogant again.

Plex has clearly positioned themselves that they’re not a platform for full-public sharing.
So I won’t re-open the thread.

As for chatting… there’s existing feature suggestions for that too
e.g. focusing on Watch Together

or more general…
