I am a fairly new user of plex, weaning myself off Mythtv (too much work maintaining it). I really like the record tv functionality and adding to library. With my old myth I used to be able to watch a recording as soon as it started recording. This does not seem readily available. I have found where the recording files are stored temporarily but watching this is buggy and not wife friendly. Is there any way to watch a recording while recording?

I’m in the same boat moving from mythtv. Plex certainly is simpler to setup and maintain. I gain a lot of capability but loose a few nice features but the development group is quite active.
The capability is coming in full time shifting according to a plex employee…
