The last few weeks Watch Together has gotten worse and worse seeminly with each passing day. Constantly out of sync, we watch in separate rooms but close enough to tell where the other is, and with certain shows / episodes the sessions lags completely out on one TV.
I swapped the Apple TVs around, 1x 4K Gen 2 and 1x 4K Gen 3, as the issues are 99% in one room and the issues persisted on the previously “good” Apple TV … ok, perhaps its the ethernet cable / switch … so I ran a brand new cable the 20’ around the wall while plugging into the same switch as the “good” ATV … same problems. now more and more shows are lagging out the WT session and it’s getting the point where it’s too frustrating to even attempt to use. It doesn’t happen every time, but it’s almost to the point of it being more often than not.
Both clients are hardwired with 1GBe, while the server and storage are on 2.5 GBe runs. Anything not played in a WT session runs flawlessly on both ATVs.
Any advice on what else to try?
