When I first set up this Watch Together thing, I had my main account, which the server is linked to, I use a MyCloud Home I believe, and I sorted this through my iMac.
Myself and my girlfriend were having to watch things on Netflix (long distant) and play them at the same time etc, so when I noticed this Watch Together on my Plex I was over the moon!
We watched 2 films with ease, playing worked, pausing worked, all great, but then once again my server decided to disappear, I had to go back into MyCloud, disable Plex, enable it again, add all my 2100 movies back which as you can imagine took a long while to load properly (artwork etc)…
Since then, the Watch Together isn’t working, we’ll both be ‘ready’, it’ll play the same but then seconds in it’ll stop for both of us and go to the beginning and keep doing that over and over…
I’ve removed all the devices from the Plex Devices page and linked the accounts again (using the 4 digit codes) on both my account and her account, I use my Apple TV to watch movies, she uses her Firestick to watch movies.
What else am I missing and why isn’t it working? I noticed the ‘buffering’ before it says ready etc (on the Watch Together page) stays a little longer than before, but I pay for 400mbps internet, with 30+ upload speed, so it can’t be my connection… especially as we had no issues the very first time watching 2 movies together.
Any suggestions?
(I do hate the whole MyCloud Home / Plex set up though, my server on Plex always stops working in which I have to delete it and redo it, it’s a real pain!!)
